Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a General Contractor in the Twin Cities. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of accounts receivable, including billing, collections, and reporting, with 5+ years of experience in construction-focused AR preferred.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $75,000 per year, full benefits, PTO, holidays, a 401(k) match, and opportunities for bonus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, preferably in construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong understanding of AR processes and billing procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and accounting software.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and managing the entire accounts receivable process, including billing, collections, and customer account reconciliation.
• Preparing and sending invoices to clients promptly and accurately.
• Monitoring customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
• Resolving billing discrepancies and responding to customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Conducting credit checks on new clients and making recommendations on credit limits.
• Generating financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status on a regular basis.
• Collaborating closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate billing.
• Implementing and maintaining procedures and policies within the accounts receivable department to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
• Conducting account audits regularly to ensure compliance and accuracy.
