Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to work with the Office Manager to maintain and collect on charge accounts in accordance with company policy. Strong communication and Excel skills are required to resolve A/R issues effectively.

You will process payments, monitor aging, prepare reports, and coordinate with customers to arrange payment on delinquent accounts, with benefits including a 401K plan with company match and life/disability insurance.

Qualifications

• Proficient with MS Office, with emphasis on Excel spreadsheets summarizing aging/past due accounts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, especially in telephone skills.
• Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities with attention to detail.
• Experience in driving collection activities and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Process customer payments according to company policy.
• Monitor accounts for non-payment and partial payments.
• Provide regular updates to management on collections.
• Organize recovery systems and initiate collection efforts.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly closing statements and reports.
• Communicate with customers to arrange payment on delinquent accounts.
• Review credit applications and report findings to management.
• Investigate and resolve customer inquiries promptly.
• Submit accounts to management for bad debt write-off.
• Fax or email invoices to customers for payment.
• Perform other tasks as required.
