Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support the Office Manager with collection and maintenance of charge accounts. The role requires strong communication to resolve AR issues and maintain strong customer relations.

Primary duties include processing payments, monitoring delinquent accounts, and providing timely management updates. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, is essential for aging reports and reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Proficient with MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel spreadsheets summarizing aging/past due accounts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English, especially telephone skills.
• Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully in a team environment.
• Great organizational and multi-tasking skills; detail oriented.
• Demonstrate ability to press into action collection efforts.
• Understand general business operating procedures and be proficient in data entry.

Responsibilities

• Process customer payments according to company policy.
• Monitor accounts for non-payment, skipped invoices, and partial payments as per branch strategy.
• Provide regular updates to management on account collections.
• Organize a recovery system and initiate collection efforts.
• Complete monthly and quarterly closing statements and generate reports.
• Contact customers to arrange payments via phone, email, mail, or in person.
