Job summary

SPS North America is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support billing, collections, cash application, and AR reporting. The role requires 3–5 years of AR experience, a relevant degree, and proficiency with SAP ERP and Excel.

The position is in a hybrid setting with candidates within commuting distance to Nashville, DC, or Pittsburgh, and offers the opportunity to contribute to cash flow, reduce DSO, and improve receivables processes across the organization.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; practical experience may qualify.
• Three to five years of AR experience including billing, collections, cash application, and reconciling accounts.
• Working knowledge of SAP ERP and Excel; experience preparing AR aging and DSO reports.
• Strong attention to detail, communication and problem-solving; able to manage priorities independently and collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor open receivables and customer payment behavior.
• Manage dunning activities and follow-up on collections.
• Apply incoming cash accurately and reconcile with invoices.
• Resolve payment disputes with internal stakeholders and escalate when needed.
• Prepare AR aging and DSO reports; monitor risk and potential bad debts.
• Handle billing, invoicing, and support month-end close and revenue recognition.
