Qualifications

• Two to five years of similar or related experience.
• Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school; or completion of an extensive in-house training/apprenticeship program.
• Proficient with 10-key data entry.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills with general understanding of accounting concepts.
• Able to prioritize heavy, time-sensitive workloads and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Supports AR function for all locations' operations.
• Monitor daily incoming deposits and apply as directed.
• Post deposits to ledgers and file backups accordingly.
• Follow up on problem accounts with customers or other departments to resolve issues.
• Prepare AR ageing reports.
• Follow up on outstanding payments with service team and customers.
• Collect past due accounts via email, letters, and phone calls.
• Advise internal teams on processes to ensure proper carrier invoice processing.
• Support other accounting team members as needed.
• Perform role in office more than 75% of the time.
