Easter Seals NH, Inc. in Manchester, NH is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to ensure accurate and timely bill processing and collections across assigned areas.

The role focuses on maximizing cash, maintaining payer relations, and minimizing denials while upholding HIPAA confidentiality. Responsibilities include reconciling AR subs, researching billing discrepancies, and providing input to management on AR processes.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
• A minimum of two years of experience in medical and accounts receivable operations.
• Understand medical terminology, payor requirements, collections and insurance processing.
• Ability to research and resolve billing discrepancies and outstanding balances.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization and time management.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Insure accurate and expedient bill processing, including collections for all assigned areas.
• Review and update processes to maximize revenues and cash.
• Develop and maintain relationships with program managers and payers to expedite collections.
• Research issues impeding collections and develop resolutions.
• Maintain up-to-date information on payer billing requirements.
• Develop and monitor cash flow projections for all areas of responsibility.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients with billing issues.
• Reconcile accounts receivable subsidiaries to the general ledger.
• Provide input on AR management and decision-making processes.
• Work independently and with team members while maintaining confidentiality (HIPAA).
