Job summary

Easterseals NH is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to ensure accurate bill processing, collections, and payer communications in our Manchester, NH office. The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance and collaboration with program managers to maximize cash flow.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years in medical AR, strong detail orientation, and are comfortable researching billing discrepancies while providing excellent client service.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in medical and accounts receivable operations.
• Understanding of medical terminology, payor requirements, collection processing, and insurance processing (verification, claims, posting denials, appeals).
• Ability to research and resolve billing discrepancies and outstanding balances.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization and time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Insure accurate and expedient bill processing including collections for all assigned areas.
• Continually review and update processes to ensure revenues and cash are maximized.
• Develop relationships with program managers and payers to expedite collections and minimize denials.
• Research issues impeding collections and develop resolutions.
• Maintain up-to-date information on payer billing requirements and services.
• Develop and monitor cash flow projections for assigned areas.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients with billing issues.
• Reconcile accounts receivable subsidiaries to the general ledger.
• Provide input to management regarding the AR cycle.
• Work independently and with team members while maintaining confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Prioritize responsibilities and work with minimal supervision.
