Job summary

CFS client is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a nonprofit organization in Springfield, MA. The role involves handling billing data, reconciling information, and ensuring accuracy across systems within a small accounting team.

You will collaborate with program staff to verify billing requirements, resolve variances, and deliver excellent customer service to funders and internal teams. This is a full-time, on-site role with growth potential in a nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Accounts Receivable experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of Excel and related billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and reconcile program attendance and billing data across billing systems.
• Collaborate with program staff to verify billing requirements and resolve discrepancies.
• Review and submit billing information in compliance with funding and system requirements, providing strong service to program teams, finance staff, funders, and stakeholders.
• Pull aging reports weekly and follow up on past-due accounts.

Responsibilities Of The Accounts Receivable Specialist

• Manage and reconcile program attendance and billing data, ensuring accuracy across billing systems
• The Accounts Receivable Specialist will collaborate with program staff to verify billing requirements while researching and resolving discrepancies or significant billing variances
• Review, format, and submit billing information in compliance with funding and system requirements, delivering exceptional customer service to program teams, finance staff, funders, and other stakeholders
• The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for pulling aging reports on a weekly basis and following with past-due accounts

Preferred Qualifications Of The Accounts Receivable Specialist

• Accounts Receivable experience
• The Accounts Receivable Specialist must have good knowledge of Excel
• Must have great communication skills

Salary is $40,000-50,000
