Job summary

Randstad USA in High Point, NC is seeking an experienced Direct Hire Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The role involves invoicing, payments processing, and maintaining accurate customer records in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of AR experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with an ERP system. No degree is required, and you will work first shift from 8 AM to 5 PM with competitive salary in the $55k–$65k range.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or related admin roles.
• Background in accounts receivable, accounting support, billing, data entry, customer service, or related administrative role.
• Clear, professional verbal and written communication with customers regarding past-due balances.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP or accounting system preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to research and resolve discrepancies.
• Willingness to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and send accurate customer invoices on time.
• Apply customer payments including checks, ACH, and credit card payments.
• Review AR aging reports and follow up on past-due balances by phone and email.
• Process new customer credit applications and maintain accurate customer records.
• Research and resolve short payments, billing disputes, unapplied cash, and other discrepancies.
• Send customer statements and respond to billing questions.
• Assist with AR reconciliations and month-end activities.
• Provide backup accounts payable support as needed, including entering vendor bills and matching invoices to purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate records while supporting multiple business entities.

We have an immediate need for a Direct Hire Accounts Receivable Specialist in High Point, NC.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: Background in accounts receivable, accounting support, billing, data entry, customer service, or a related administrative role.
• Communication Skills: Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills with comfort calling customers regarding past-due balances.
• Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, lookups, basic pivot tables). Experience with an ERP or accounting system is preferred.
• Core Strengths: Exceptional organizational skills,attention to detail, and a talent for researching and resolving discrepancies.
• Work Ethic: Ability to learn quickly, take direction, work independently, and adapt smoothly in a growing, fast-paced environment.
