Job summary

PeopleShare by PROMAN is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist in Bethlehem, PA. The role covers the full AR process, including payments, reconciliations, and month-end support. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–5 pm, with a pay rate of $24–$29 per hour and a temp-to-hire path.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in AR, strong ERP experience (NetSuite or similar), and a degree in accounting or finance is preferred. High-volume environments and multi-entity experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, collections, billing, or related accounting.
• Experience in a high-volume, multi-entity environment or distribution environment preferred.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite or similar.

Responsibilities

• Apply customer payments via ACH, checks, wire, credit card, lockbox, and other methods.
• Research unapplied cash, discrepancies, and deductions.
• Monitor AR aging and follow up on past-due balances.
• Prepare and distribute invoices and statements with accurate payment terms.
• Handle credit memos, adjustments, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with customer credit reviews and account setup/maintenance.
• Reconcile subledgers to GL and investigate variances.
• Support month- and year-end closings and internal controls.

PeopleShare has partnered with a leading company in Bethlehem, PA. They are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team and own the full AR process.

Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Details:

• Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5 pm
• Pay Rate: $24 - $29 hr (depending on experience level)
• Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Accounts Receivable Job Responsibilities:

• Proper application of customer payments received by various methods, including ACH, checks, wire transfers, credit card, lockbox, and other approved methods.
• Research unapplied cash, payments, deductions, and other discrepancies.
• Monitor AR aging and follow up on past-due balances
• Prepare and distribute invoices and statements, maintaining accurate contact information and payment terms.
• Credit Memos, account adjustments, and any supporting documentation
• Assist with customer credit reviews, set up, and maintenance of customer accounts
• Reconciliation of subledgers to GL, and investigation of any variances
• Recurring cash receipts, aging, collections, and other receivable reporting.
• Support month- and year-end closings, internal controls, audits, and requests for supporting documentation
• Maintain organized records and shared inboxes
• Identify any process improvements and assist with implementation of Receivables automation and system enhancements
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma required
• Experience with NetSuite, Dreacom, or other ERP or accounting systems
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, collections, billing, or related accounting
• Experience in a high-volume, multi-entity environment or distribution environment preferred
