Job summary

J & J Staffing Resources is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk for our client in Burlington, NJ. This temp-to-hire role starts at $25.00 per hour based on experience, with hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm.

Proficiency with Sage 50 software is preferred and beneficial for success in this position. The ideal candidate will process customer billing, post cash receipts, manage AR inquiries, and perform collections activities while maintaining accurate records and providing professional

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience required; 5-8 years preferred.
• Previous Accounts Receivable and collections experience required.
• Customer service experience with strong communication skills.
• Experience processing billing and cash receipts.
• Proficiency with Sage 50 software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Process customer billing, including PSEG billing and Letterkenny billing.
• Generate and process test report billing.
• Post cash receipts, including EFT payments and remote scan deposits.
• Maintain customer portal information and records.
• Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) functions and customer account inquiries.
• Perform collections activities, including sending monthly statements and following up on outstanding balances.
• Assist customers, visitors, and walk-in inquiries in a professional manner.
• Prepare quotes, vendor forms, credit applications, and online orders.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
• Maintain filing systems and purge files for archiving.
• Provide administrative and accounting support to the Controller as needed.
