Job summary

Ookla is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join the finance team. You will manage collections, resolve payment discrepancies, handle tax management, and maintain precise documentation across multiple client portals and ERPs.

Your duties include driving collections, processing electronic invoices, verifying contract terms, and collaborating with sales and legal teams to ensure accurate billing and timely cash flow.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of accounting/accounts receivable experience.
• Experience reviewing contracts to identify payment terms and tax requirements.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and learn new tools quickly.
• Strong analytical mindset for investigating billing issues and account histories.
• Excellent numeric accuracy and organizational skills.
• Clear communication with external clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage collections and contact customers about payment status for open invoices.
• Navigate procurement systems (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, iSupplier) and submit electronic invoicing.
• Handle tax withholdings and maintain multi-jurisdiction withholding documentation.
• Organize AR-related documents including contracts and payment authorizations.
• Investigate and resolve shortpayments, billing errors, and missing funds.
• Collaborate with sales and legal teams to confirm contract terms and billing schedules.
