Job summary

Ookla is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join the finance team. You will manage collections, resolve payment discrepancies, and handle tax management for multi-jurisdiction accounts, ensuring accurate ledger maintenance.

You will master customer portals, resolve invoicing issues, and collaborate with sales and legal to verify contract terms and billing schedules. A 1–3 year background in accounting is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or accounts receivable experience.
• Contract review skills to interpret payment terms, schedules, and tax requirements.
• Autonomous and agile learner with ability to work independently.
• Strong analytical mindset for resolving billing issues.
• Extreme precision when reviewing numbers and records.
• Ability to manage high volume of accounts and deadlines with accuracy.
• Clear communication with clients and internal teams.
• Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Collections: contact customers daily on payment status and resolve issues.
• Portal & procurement navigation: operate Ariba, Coupa, iSupplier, and submit invoicing through portals.
• Tax & withholding management: handle withholdings and tax documentation for multi-jurisdiction accounts.
• Document & contract management: organize AR-related documents and contracts.
• Discrepancy & detail resolution: investigate short-payments and billing errors.
• Collections & communication: follow up with client accounting teams via phone/email.
• Cross-functional collaboration: partner with sales and legal to confirm contract terms and billing schedules.
