Job summary

Gardant is seeking an Accounts Receivable Accountant to support community office managers in AR functions and to prepare GAAP-based financial statements across portfolios. You will analyze Medicaid revenue, monitor private-pay balances, and ensure accurate postings by close deadlines.

You will collaborate with the Community Team to reconcile aging reports, manage deposits, and update the accounting system for move-ins and transfers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with Yardi hosted property management software preferred.
• Valid driver's license for occasional travel to communities.

Responsibilities

• Support community business office managers in accounts receivable functions.
• Prepare GAAP-based financial statements and conduct Medicaid revenue calculations.
• Respond to AR inquiries from owners, lenders, auditors, regulators and third parties.
• Monitor private pay and financial aid program balances within portfolio.
• Collaborate with Community Team to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial activities.
• Provide balance sheet oversight by reconciling AR against aging reports and managing deposits.
• Update accounting software with move-ins/move-outs and charges for residents.
• Generate resident statements by the established deadline.
• Oversee AR process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy while ensuring compliance.
