Job summary

Dot Foods is seeking an Accounts Receivable Customer Analyst in Mt. Sterling, IL. You will manage customer accounts with a focus on mitigating loss and reducing outstanding balances, digging into root causes and partnering with customers and internal teams to resolve issues.

You will team with partners to analyze processes, develop improvements, and leverage relationships to drive efficiency. Travel may be required to support claims and training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical expertise to manage customer AR portfolios and improve processes.
• Communicate proactively with process partners to correct root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with partner teams to resolve claims and drive root-cause resolution.
• Analyze current processes with partners to identify mutually beneficial improvements.
• Develop relationships to enhance business processes and knowledge sharing.
• Mentor and guide others in AR processes and best practices.
• Apply lean thinking to remove waste across the position.

Job description

Location: Mt. Sterling, IL

Department: Accounts Receivable

Reports To: Accounts Receivable Manager

Salary Grade: $52,104 to $78,156 annually, plus bonus opportunity

As an Accounts Receivable Customer Analyst, you will manage customer accounts with a focus on mitigating loss and reducing outstanding balances. You will dig into root causes, partner with customers and internal teams to resolve issues, and identify opportunities to improve processes and influence business partner behavior.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide analytical expertise in managing partner portfolios to develop work processes that enhance efficiency and productivity
• Initiate communication (current and proactive) with appropriate process partners to correct root causes, prevent re-occurrence and streamline processes
• Contact and work with partner and partner teams, across different levels and layers, to secure resolution of claims and solve root cause of problems
• Collaborate with partners to analyze current processes and establish mutually beneficial improvements
• Develop and leverage internal and external relationships to improve business processes
• Provide guidance and assist in the development of others
• Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another business-related field
• Proficient communication skills – written and verbal
• Exceptional analysis and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent organization and follow up skills

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE

• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
• Thorough understanding of general bookkeeping or accounting information
• Excellent Excel skills, including a good working knowledge of V-Lookup and Pivot Table functions

ROLE SPECIFICS

• Occasional overnight travel required. Must have ability to independently travel as needed, without restriction, by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train for customer/vendor calls, training, or meetings.
