Job summary

Mouser Electronics is a global distributor of semiconductors and electronic components with a Mansfield, Texas facility. The Customer Accounts Representative I role involves reviewing creditworthiness, analyzing account data, and processing transactions to maintain optimal account performance.

You will handle orders, credit applications, and collections while providing excellent service across phone, email, and chat channels.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of customer service or similar experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of accounts receivable and/or accounting.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and with professionalism in customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough credit reviews to analyze customers’ financial strength and authorize credit lines.
• Proactively analyze customer information, including account balances, orders, and organizational changes to maintain optimum account performance.
• Review orders, credit applications, quotes, and other business transactions for validity and timely processing.
• Investigate and resolve customer payment delinquency and implement corrective action to prevent recurrence.
• Evaluate the collectability of delinquent invoices and perform write-offs within authority.
• Communicate with customers, maintaining concise account notes of interactions.
• Deliver excellent customer service through phone, email, and online chat.
• Participate in regular team meetings to report progress toward objectives.
• Perform tasks using various computer programs; format material as required.
• Understand Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payables functions.
• Process requests such as order releases, credit limits, new account setups, payment reconciliations, and collections.
