This role supports the recording of client invoices and financial postings, while coordinating with the accounting team and internal partners to ensure accuracy and timely reporting. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement (2 days remote/3 days in office) after a 3-month training period, with access to multiple accounting software tools to manage invoices,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associat(es) Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of office or accounting related experience.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• General math skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Excel and computerized accounting systems.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Great data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Record client invoices and account for funds paid to the organization.
• Perform accounting and transactional posting duties per policies.
• Develop and maintain communication with accounting/finance team members, internal partners, and clients.
• Work with five accounting software tools to generate invoices, statements, and aging reports.

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) is a non-profit organization and one of the largest Hispanic Community Development Corporations in the United States. The organization began with a group of student and community activists in 1967, and was incorporated and received non-profit status in 1969. CPLC is committed to empowering individuals through health & human services, housing, education, and economic development.

This will be a hybrid position (2 days remote/3 days in office) after completion of the initial 3 month training period.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?

• You will be responsible for the recording of client invoices and accounting for the funds paid to the organization.
• You will perform a variety of accounting and transactional posting duties according to established policies and procedures.
• You will be required to develop and maintain an open line of communication with accounting/finance team member, internal business partners throughout the organization and clients.
• You will get to work with five different accounting software, which include, Blackbaud, Yardi, Quickbooks, Appfolio, and Accubuild to generate client invoices, client monthly statements, and account receivable aging reports.

Minimum Qualifications And Competencies

• High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of office or accounting related experience
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
• General math skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Excel, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent data entry skills
