DarrowEverett LLP is seeking a detail-oriented Collections Clerk to join our finance team in Kentucky. You will manage accounts receivable, contact customers for payment, resolve billing issues, and ensure timely collections to support cash flow.

Qualifications

• High-volume environment experience.
• Familiarity with FDCPA or relevant regulations.
• Understanding of accounting terms and basic financial statements.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information ethically and responsibly.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Computer literacy; ability to enter data into accounting software.
• Strong interpersonal skills with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to present information to attorneys, staff and clients.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, and QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts.
• Contact customers by phone, email, and written communication to follow up on past-due invoices.
• Maintain accurate records of all collection activity and communications.
• Resolve billing issues and disputes promptly and professionally.
• Prepare and send account statements, letters, and reminders.
• Recommend accounts for escalation when necessary.
• Process payments and post to customer accounts.
• Generate regular aging and collection status reports.
• Pursue payment on delinquent accounts via customer contact.
• Review and update account status per guidelines.
• Perform related duties as required.
