Qualifications

• 2–3 years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills for data management and reporting.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage assigned accounts.
• Prepare daily cash deposits, draws and credit card payments.
• Post daily cash receipts to customer accounts and apply to G/L accounts.
• Review customers' line of credit limits.
• Review and release customer orders based on credit status and past due balances.
• Complete credit reference requests.
• Work with Sales Account Managers to resolve overdue balances.
• Proactively communicate with stakeholders towards collection efforts.
• Manage customer sales tax exemption certificates and credits as needed.
• Respond to customer inquiries promptly via phone and email.
• Investigate and resolve disputed charges; coordinate with collection agencies when appropriate.
• Maintain accounts receivable aging within the established goal.
• Provide backup to AR/finance team members.
