Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc. is seeking a Customer Relations Billing Specialist in Northeast Ohio. You will focus on accurate and timely invoicing, collaborate across departments, and support billing operations to ensure billing integrity and customer satisfaction.

This role emphasizes strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail, with opportunities to train others and contribute to ongoing process improvements within a growing national safety services provider.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years AR/billing experience preferred.
• Pay application, lien waiver, and contract management experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles; strong math skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)

Responsibilities

• Invoice assigned customers timely and accurately.
• Resolve customer inquiries and discrepancies timely.
• Document resolutions and maintain billing records consistently.
• Verify invoice procedures and validate customer contracts.
• Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customers.
• Collaborate with the Field, Collections Team, Sales, and Accounts Receivable Team to ensure payments for assigned customers are received within terms and applied properly.
• Escalate complex issues to supervisors using standardized templates.
• Communicate with internal and/or external customers.
• Participate in governance calls and daily huddles as required.
• Act as a resource for other functions within AWP
• Provide training and support as requested.
• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
