Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an Accounts Receivable professional to join the AR Team. You will help ensure invoices are raised accurately, support prompt income collection, and perform administrative duties such as processing mailings, allocating cash receipts, and sending invoices electronically through Tradeshift.

Qualifications

• Manage a portfolio of non-NHS debtor accounts and ensure prompt cash collection.
• Pursue debt in excess of 30 days and document all contact attempts.
• Prepare weekly AR update reports and advise on actions such as referrals or write-offs.
• Liaise with managers to discuss debt collection measures and related service impacts.
• Maintain comprehensive notes on debtor contacts and liaise with external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of non-NHS debtor accounts and take responsibility for prompt cash collection.
• Pursue debt in excess of 30 days by contacting debtors and updating the sales ledger with contact notes.
• Prepare weekly AR Manager update reports and advise on potential actions (legal, write-off, settlement).
• Liaise with service managers on collection difficulties and discuss credit control measures.
• Maintain full notes on the AR system of debtor contacts and liaise with external agencies for recovery.
• Monitor and respond to team voicemail/e mail messages.
• Keep Treasury Officer updated on expected receipts and cash forecast changes.
• Provide cover for absent team members to ensure continuous service.
