Job summary

CBL Properties is seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst in Chattanooga, TN. You will learn mall retail operations and handle payments from regional and local retailers, while addressing tenant AR issues and disputes.

The role involves preparing correspondence and reports, supporting Lease Operations, and contributing to various short-term projects in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

  • Two-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or closely related field; Four-year degree preferred.
  • Two (2) years of professional experience in a business environment, preferably AR/Collections.
  • Ability to read, write, interpret and analyze leases, contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the basics of Mall Retail Operations.
  • Process payments received from CBL retailers.
  • Troubleshoot tenant AR issues/concerns.
  • Prepare correspondence, spreadsheets, reports related to tenant disputes.

At CBL, Accounts Receivable Analysts
  • Learn the basics of Mall Retail Operations
  • Process payments received from CBL regional and local retailers.
  • Troubleshoot tenant AR issues/concerns.
  • Prepare correspondence, spreadsheets, reports, etc. as related to tenant disputes.
  • Exercise flexibility by supporting other functional areas such as Lease Operations and Lease Maintenance.
  • Support various short-term projects.
  • Work cooperatively within a collaborative work environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Two-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or closely related field; Four-year degree preferred OR
  • A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in a business related environment, preferably involving AR or Collections. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a Two-year degree.
  • Ability to read, write, interpret and analyze documents such as leases, contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to speak effectively to retailers.
  • Good analytical skills to analyze and communicate financial impact of AR activity.
  • The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics: attention to detail, team player, strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, goal oriented and a self-starter.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Knowledge of a Yardi Commercial Property Management system and a CRM system is a plus.
