Job summary

CBL Properties in Chattanooga, TN seeks an Accounts Receivable Analyst I to join our Corporate Office. You will process payments, troubleshoot tenant AR issues, and prepare concise reports while supporting Lease Operations and maintenance tasks.

Strong communication and analytical skills are essential to manage leases, contracts, and related business documents. Ideal candidates have a two-year degree in accounting/finance/business or equivalent experience, with proficiency in Word, Excel,

Qualifications

  • Two-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or closely related field; Four-year degree preferred OR
  • A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in a business related environment, preferably involving AR or Collections.
  • Ability to read, write, interpret and analyze documents such as leases, contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to speak effectively to retailers.
  • Good analytical skills to analyze and communicate financial impact of AR activity.
  • The ideal candidate will possess attention to detail, be a team player, communicate well, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the basics of Mall Retail Operations.
  • Process payments received from CBL regional and local retailers.
  • Troubleshoot tenant AR issues/concerns.
  • Prepare correspondence, spreadsheets, reports, etc. as related to tenant disputes.
  • Support other functional areas such as Lease Operations and Lease Maintenance.
  • Support various short-term projects.
  • Work cooperatively within a collaborative work environment.

At CBL, Accounts Receivable Analysts:
  • Learn the basics of Mall Retail Operations

  • Exercise flexibility by supporting other functional areas such as Lease Operations and Lease Maintenance.

  • Work cooperatively within a collaborative work environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Two-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or closely related field; Four-year degree preferred OR
  • A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in a business related environment, preferably involving AR or Collections. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a Two-year degree.
  • Ability to read, write, interpret and analyze documents such as leases, contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to speak effectively to retailers.
  • Good analytical skills to analyze and communicate financial impact of AR activity.
  • The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics: attention to detail, team player, strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, goal oriented and a self-starter.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Knowledge of a Yardi Commercial Property Management system and a CRM system is a plus.
