Job summary

MIH Systems Group LLC in New York is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage invoicing, payments, aging, reporting and client inquiries for our HVAC services division.

You will reconcile AR ledgers, investigate discrepancies, support audits, and maintain compliant processes while collaborating with teams across the company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting related experience.
• 5+ years in the HVAC service environment (preferred).
• Working knowledge of Business Central Systems (preferred).
• General knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Excellent Microsoft Suite skills (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and send invoices to clients promptly, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
• Apply customer payments accurately and timely.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable, contacting clients as necessary to ensure timely payments.
• Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to client billing and payments.
• Prepare regular reports on account status, aging analysis, and collections efforts for management review.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any inquiries or concerns regarding their accounts.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and financial regulations, updating procedures as necessary to maintain compliance.
• Work with customers on sales tax eligibility and ensure state sales tax is applied correctly on invoices.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documentation.
• Other job duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Description

Role: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Estimated Salary: $38/hr - $43/hr, with flexibility based on experience and skills.
