Job summary

Hallkeen-Assisted-Living-Communities in Norwood, MA is seeking an Accounts Payable Team Leader to oversee the AP department and the Accounting Specialists. You will guide month-end close, ensure GAAP compliance, and provide support to senior management and audits.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance and at least two years of supervisory experience, with strong Excel and analytical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field with 2+ years supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control principles.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports and forecasts.
• Strong budgeting, GL reconciliations, and financial reporting skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Accounts Payable operations, close process, and related accounting activities.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and schedules.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls across processes.
• Maintain accounting records and documents for audit and regulatory purposes.
• Assist in annual budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
• Support audits, tax filings, and external reporting.
• Supervise and develop Accounting staff, including evaluations.
• Deliver training on financial processes and reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
