Job summary

Brigham House is seeking an Accounts Payable Team Leader in Norwood, MA to manage the AP function and lead the Accounting Specialists. The role provides guidance, training, and oversight to ensure timely close cycles and accurate reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements.

You will lead a team, uphold GAAP, support audits, and implement process improvements while partnering with management and department leaders to optimize financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field and 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports and forecasts for decision-making.
• Strong budgeting, variance analysis, GL reconciliations and financial performance reporting.
• Experience with real estate management or related industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Accounts Payable operations and monthly close processes.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and schedules.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls across AP and reporting.
• Maintain complete accounting records for audits and regulatory needs.
• Mentor, train, and develop AP staff; support budgets and forecasts.
• Collaborate with leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting.
