Accounts Payable (AP) Team Lead

Location: Maitland, FL (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $28.00/hour
Schedule: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Team Lead to join our growing finance team in Maitland, FL. This hybrid role is responsible for overseeing daily accounts payable operations, supporting process improvement initiatives, and leading a small team to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments.

The ideal candidate will have strong AP experience, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the daily activities of the Accounts Payable team.
• Review and process vendor invoices for accuracy and appropriate approvals.
• Monitor AP workflows and ensure timely payment processing.
• Resolve vendor inquiries and payment discrepancies.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
• Train, mentor, and develop AP team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiencies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to address invoice and payment issues.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Prior experience leading, mentoring, or supervising employees preferred.
• Strong understanding of AP processes, invoice matching, and reconciliations.
• Experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in high-volume invoice processing environments.
• Knowledge of month-end close procedures.
