Job summary

AXS is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead training for specialists, supervise staff, and manage complex invoices and expenses. The role includes weekly AP aging reporting, vendor payments, and maintaining high accuracy in payments for high-complexity clients.

The ideal candidate has an AA/AS in Accounting, 3–5 years in accounting, and 1+ year as a subject matter expert. JD Edwards and Perceptive/Scanning America experience are a plus; strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• AA/AS Degree in Accounting or related field required; BA/BS preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• 1+ year as a subject matter expert.
• 1+ year mentoring team members preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong leadership.
• Experience with JD Edwards and Perceptive/Scanning America preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead training initiatives for Accounts Payable & Receivable Coordinator; oversee scheduling and staff inquiries.
• Supervise staff, manage payroll tasks including time cards and leave requests.
• Process complex invoices and expense reports with high approval thresholds.
• Prepare weekly AP aging for VP Accounting and oversee vendor payments via ACH, wire and checks.
• Generate reports for vendors, reconcile discrepancies and payments.
• Review documents supporting 1099s and ensure accuracy of vendor payments.
