Job summary

UVA Health is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead a high-volume AP team in a hybrid work environment. You will ensure accurate vendor payments, strong controls, and efficient processes across Finance, Supply Chain, and IT.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, resolving escalations, supporting month-end close, and driving automation and standardization across workflows. A strong service mindset and collaboration are essential to deliver reliable, compliant financial operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in accounts payable or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of AP processes and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems and invoice workflow tools.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop Accounts Payable team members.
• Manage daily workloads to meet productivity and service-level expectations.
• Oversee high-volume invoice processing for various spend categories.
• Monitor matching, coding, approvals, and payment activity.
• Support month-end/quarter-end close and audits.
• Identify risks and drive process improvements across AP and related functions.
