Job summary

The State of Maine is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor located in Augusta with partial telework approval. You will supervise a four-person AP team, manage daily processing of invoices and travel reimbursements, and ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance across programs.

Responsibilities include overseeing workflows, resolving issues with case workers, enhancing internal controls, and supporting system upgrades and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Six years of responsible clerical experience including supervisory work.
• Knowledge of accounting practices, controls, and reconciliations.
• Experience analyzing accounting data and ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily AP operations and process supplier invoices and travel reimbursements.
• Supervise a four-member team with coaching and performance reviews.
• Oversee workflows, payment tracking, and internal controls for funds.
• Review complex transactions for proper handling and audit support.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve payment issues.
• Improve accounting processes and support financial reporting.
