LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor for a long-term contract in a hybrid setting in Glen Allen, Virginia. You will oversee daily AP operations, ensure accurate invoice processing, and support process improvements.

Leadership and strong problem-solving skills are essential for managing a team and supporting audits and vendor payments. The role emphasizes attention to detail, compliance, and efficiency in AP workflows, with Concur and MS Office

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of accounting or accounts payable experience; financial institution experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership skills to guide and support a team.
• Experience with automated AP systems; Concur experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and accounting applications.

Responsabilités

• Supervise day-to-day Accounts Payable activities, including invoice processing, payment generation, expense payments, and general ledger activity.
• Review AP transactions for proper authorization, coding, cost centers, taxes, discounts, and compliance with internal controls.
• Identify and support process improvements to improve efficiency, scalability, accuracy, and cross-training within the team.
• Maintain accurate AP procedures and documentation, support audits, and ensure timely completion of 1099 processing.
• Research and resolve accounting issues related to teammate and vendor payments.
