Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Accounting Supervisor for the Barton Creek resort & Spa in Austin, TX. The role supports department managers and helps ensure timely completion of accounting tasks in line with Omni standards.

Responsibilities include supervising department associates, maintaining accounts payable controls, reinforcing AP processes, and assisting with finance and audit compliance. Weekend availability may be required at Omni locations.

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of finance systems to include Oracle, OPera, Kronos Ultipro, Birchstreet.
• Must be organized and detail oriented.
• Prior supervisory experience in hotel setting.
• 5 years accounting experience or equivalent education required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in labor costing is a plus.
• Must be flexible and able to work weekends; support at Omni locations as needed.

• Assists with accounts payable control house/manager’s fund of this property including all banks issued out of this fund for house/associate banks.
• Assists with reinforcement of AP purchase orders, invoices, inventories, and reporting.
• Assist in monitoring compliance with all disciplines affecting Finance compliance & Audit.
• Assist in ensuring a seamless AP process and monitor and approve Accounts Payable batches.
• Assist Director of Finance and Controller with requested tasks.

The Accounting Supervisor will assist the department managers in overseeing the department associates while ensuring various accounting tasks are completed in a timely manner in accordance with Omni Hotels Standards and ensure accounts payable controls are in compliance with all Omni Hotels internal controls and SOPs.
