Job summary

The Polo Club of Boca Raton in Boca Raton, FL is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to manage the accurate processing of invoices and payments. You will review invoices, code G/L entries, enter data into the AP system, prepare and mail checks, and maintain vendor records with 1099 reporting capabilities.

Ideal candidates have an AA degree or equivalent with at least four years of related experience, strong attention to detail, and solid English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college and a minimum of four years’ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be detail oriented and well organized.
• Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
• Must be trustworthy and possess strong integrity.
• Ability to verbally communicate well in English and in writing.
• Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
• Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, co-workers and members.
• Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Reviews invoices for proper authorization, General Ledger (G/L) coding and vendor number and ensures proper coding.
• Enter all invoices into the Accounts Payable system to ensure timely payments with discounts.
• Prepares checks and distributes and mails them in a timely manner.
• Maintains check log for voided checks and weekly computer check run.
• Maintains all Accounts Payable files including invoices, W-9s and Certificates of Insurance.
