Find Great People | FGP in Columbia, SC seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist for a full-time, temporary-to-hire role on-site. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of high-volume AP experience and strong Excel skills.

The role entails managing the full AP cycle, vendor reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closes, with opportunities for process improvements and collaboration with accounting partners.

Qualifications

• 3 years of accounts payable experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Healthcare accounting experience preferred
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsabilités

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, approvals, coding, and payment distribution.
• Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and resolve payment issues.
• Maintain vendor records and assist with vendor setup and maintenance.
• Monitor recurring expenses, outstanding invoices, and payment deadlines to ensure timely processing.
• Prepare and post journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Support accounts receivable reconciliation and resolve account discrepancies.
• Assist with financial reporting by analyzing balances, preparing supporting documentation, and maintaining organized records.
• Collaborate with external accounting partners during financial reviews, audits, and month-end processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures, efficiency, and internal controls.
• Provide additional accounting and administrative support as needed.
