Job summary

Avlon seeks a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support daily AP activities, including processing vendor invoices, maintaining vendor accounts, and reconciling balances. You will manage 3-way matching, coding, and payments, participate in month-end close, and collaborate with Purchasing, Receiving, and Warehouse to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 2–4 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with high volume invoices in manufacturing, consumer products, retail, or eCommerce environments preferred.
• Experience with purchase orders, three-way matching, vendor statements, and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process and accurately code vendor invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Review invoices for appropriate approvals, documentation, pricing, quantities, and payment terms.
• Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receiving documentation, and vendor invoices when applicable.
• Enter invoices into the accounting/ERP system and maintain vendor records.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or duplicate invoices.
• Prepare and process weekly or scheduled vendor payments via checks, ACH, and other methods.
• Assist with month-end close activities and AP reconciliations.
