Job summary

Morgan Automotive Group's Accounting Team in Tampa, Florida is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our on-site team. This role offers a competitive hourly rate, benefits, and ongoing training and advancement opportunities within a supportive environment.

You will review invoices, post expenses, reconcile statements, and support month-end activities in a fast-paced automotive retail setting.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Reynolds and Reynolds is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with integrity and strong work ethics.
• Proficiency in Excel basic formulas and VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Review vendor invoices ensuring proper approval and PO# expense to proper account, reconcile invoices to statements for batch payment by the 20th.
• Post and reconcile Manufacturer invoices to monthly statements.
• Process check requests and allocate expenses accordingly.
• Maintain related schedules (sublet, advertising, factory) and make notes as needed.
• Post advertising budgets and verify invoices against budget.
• Perform monthly accruals as needed.
• Assist in month-end closing duties and prepare 1099 forms annually.
