Job summary

Keeley Construction in St. Louis, MO is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join Keeley Companies. The role handles AP mail, invoices, vendor statements, vendor setup, and payment processing, with a focus on accuracy and timely processing.

You will work closely with finance and operations, manage CMiC related tasks, Concur expense support, and help improve processes through automation. A degree or coursework in accounting plus 1–2 years AP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or coursework in accounting or finance preferred.
• 1–2 years of accounts payable experience preferred.
• Familiarity with CMiC is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of construction job costing and cost codes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process incoming AP mail, invoices, and vendor statements.
• Support vendor setup, including obtaining W-9s and processing credit applications.
• Monitor and manage AP workflow.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and obtain required approvals.
• Respond to vendor inquiries about invoices and payments.
• Review vendor statements, research discrepancies, and follow up on missing invoices or credits.
• Maintain and process high-priority overhead accounts and other critical invoices.
• Prepare and process ACH, VPA, check, and other approved payment methods.
• Manage Concur responsibilities: employee profiles and expense reports.
• Provide backup support across AP functions and assist with process improvements.
