Job summary

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist in Falls Church, VA. This non-exempt role supports government contracting, handles vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments.

You will ensure accurate coding, apply FAR/DFARS controls, and maintain AP records in Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years AP experience, strong Excel skills, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting/finance preferred; business knowledge beneficial.
• 2–4 years of accounts payable experience, government contracting a plus.
• FAR/DFARS knowledge and government cost principles understood.
• Concur experience required; Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems and procedures.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and organization are essential.
• Excellent communication and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and employee expense reports per contracts and policy.
• Code invoices to general ledger accounts, projects, and cost centers.
• Match POs, receiving reports, and invoices for accuracy.
• Maintain AP records in Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP system.
• Process weekly payment runs via ACH, wire, and checks.
• Monitor AP aging and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries promptly.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, DCAA, and internal controls.
• Assist month-end/year-end closes, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Support audits with required docs and reporting.
