Job summary

TSAY Federal Contracting Group is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to oversee Accounts Payable in a government contracting environment. The role ensures timely processing of vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and employee expenses, while maintaining GAAP, FAR, DFARS, and DCAA compliance.

Leadership of AP staff and month-end close are key components. The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years in accounting with AP responsibility, a related degree, and experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or equivalent experience.
• 5–7+ years progressive accounting experience with significant AP responsibility.
• 2+ years supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Experience in government contracting strongly preferred.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience supporting internal, external, and DCAA audits.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Accounts Payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor and subcontractor invoices, expense reports, and payments.
• Supervise and develop AP staff; assign work, review performance, provide training.
• Review invoice coding and payment transactions for policy and contract compliance.
• Monitor vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies; maintain vendor relationships.
• Ensure GAAP, FAR, DFARS, and DCAA compliance in AP processes.
• Assist with month-end/year-end close, accruals, journals, and schedules.
• Support project accounting, payroll, billing, and other accounting functions as needed.
• Assist audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and internal controls.
