Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist to support the Finance Department. You will process AP transactions, respond to vendor inquiries, assist with time and billing, and maintain account records.

The role reports to the Accounting Manager and may offer remote or hybrid options. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of AP experience, and an Associate's or Bachelor's in accounting, with strong Excel and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting.
• 1–3 years of related accounts payable or receivable experience or an appropriate balance of education and work experience.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel; experience with accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Review and code invoices and expenses reports per firm policies.
• Prepare weekly check runs and process manual checks as required.
• Prepare ACH payment extractions for vendor payments and employee expense reports.
• Reconcile vendor monthly statements and resolve outstanding issues with vendors.
• Set-up and maintain vendor accounts and prepare 1099 forms at year-end.
• Research and code transactions in suspense accounts; maintain support queue tickets.
