Job summary

Fessler & Bowman, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance Department. The role collaborates with Project Management and vendors to ensure timely and accurate invoicing, coding, and cost tracking for our projects.

The AP Specialist will verify invoices, manage vendor communications, and support year-end reporting, in a traditional office setting in Michigan. Benefits include health coverage, 401k, and paid holidays/time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of related accounting experience required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook with the ability to learn new systems/software.

Responsibilities

• Verifying and matching invoices to purchase orders/subcontracts.
• Coding and entering invoices timely for financials, job costing, and vendor payments.
• Reviewing vendor statements weekly and requesting missing invoices as needed.
• Managing vendor interactions regarding invoices and vendor accounts.
• Working with Project Management teams on identifying and administering job costing.
• Tracking and documenting the status of invoices.
• Year-end reporting and other finance tasks as assigned.
