Job summary

HandyTube Corporation seeks an Accounts Payable Accountant to manage the AP function for HandyTube LLC, ensuring timely processing in line with GAAP and SOX. You will maintain files, assist with audits, and provide ad-hoc analysis for management reports.

Work closely with shipping, purchasing and receiving. The role requires 4+ years AP experience, an accounting degree, and ERP proficiency (QAD) with strong Excel and QuickBooks skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or equivalent work experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• 4+ years’ experience in accounts payable.
• Experience operating daily in QAD or a similar ERP system.
• Basic understanding of general ledger accounting and SOX.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable transactions and ensure timely processing.
• Process PO vendor invoices using 3-way match with proper approvals.
• Interface with shipping, purchasing and receiving to ensure correct receipt.
• Maintain 1099 forms and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Reconcile vendor statements and support month-end close.
• Assist with audit support and ad-hoc management reports.
