New Morning Market is seeking an accounts payable clerk to support daily financial operations in Connecticut. You will process payments, maintain vendor records, and ensure accurate posting to cost centers under the controller's guidance.

Responsibilities include reconciling vendor statements, generating AP reports, handling inquiries, and assisting as needed with broader accounting tasks. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and reliable attendance.

• Process outgoing payments per policy.
• Perform day-to-day AP transactions: verify, classify, record.
• Cut checks or initiate ACH/wire payments.
• Reconcile AP ledger to ensure proper posting.
• Investigate discrepancies via vendor accounts/statements.
• Generate AP status reports.
• Resolve routine inquiries on account status.
• Review and process credit card statements.
• Maintain vendor files; set up new vendors.
• File invoices/deposits; prepare old files for storage.
• Assist Controller in accounting functions.
