King County is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage high-volume AP transactions within the Parks Division. The role involves processing invoices, reimbursements, and P-card activity, under supervision, while ensuring accurate financial controls.

The ideal candidate brings ERP experience (Oracle EBS, SAP, Workday) and advanced Excel skills, plus strong organizational and communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Experience processing high volumes of AP transactions, including invoice processing and payments.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle EBS, SAP, Workday) and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in financial records.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines with accuracy.
• Customer-focused service mindset and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of payment requests with proper approvals and accurate data entry.
• Prepare requisitions for payments to contractors, consultants, agencies, and vendors.
• Maintain organized financial files and ensure documentation is filed chronologically.
• Interpret and communicate policies, codes, and regulations while handling confidential information.
• Provide backup support and assist with other tasks to ensure smooth financial operations.
