Job summary

King County's Enterprise Services Section within the Solid Waste Division is seeking an Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Specialist to support financial operations across all lines of business in the Solid Waste Division.

You'll process AP/AR transactions, monitor the general ledger, and interact with internal and external customers while working in a collaborative, inclusive environment that values contributions and work/life balance.

Qualifications

• Experience with AP/AR including balancing, reconciling, and auditing.
• Experience with internal/external customer service.
• Experience using financial systems and reconciling revenues.
• Working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, csv data downloads).

Responsibilities

• Reconcile P-Card banks statements, deposits, and site activity in Cashiering System and Oracle EBS.
• Audit site review paperwork, invoice coding, and expense reports for policy compliance.
• Process travel reimbursements, petty cash, and P-card transactions in Oracle EBS.
• Research and reconcile financial discrepancies, document deviations from policies and procedures.
• Reconcile Revenue to General Ledger.
• Handle communications with customers regarding payments, billing and collections.
• Utilize systems for refunds and payment adjustments, and maintain spreadsheets.
