IDR, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Representative for one of our top clients in Waukegan, Illinois. This on-site role involves processing payments, ensuring invoice accuracy, vendor reconciliation, and supporting month-end close in a fast-paced environment.

You will match invoices to purchase orders, prepare check runs, resolve discrepancies, and help improve AP workflows while maintaining organized files and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Sage X3.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of basic accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain payment functions, verify invoice accuracy, and manage vendor accounts.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and prepare check runs.
• Resolve discrepancies and support month-end close processes.
• Collaborate with teams to improve invoice workflows and ensure internal controls compliance.
• Maintain organized AP files and provide support during audits and inquiries.
