IDR, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Representative for one of our top clients in Waukegan, Illinois. This on-site role involves processing payments, ensuring invoice accuracy, vendor reconciliation, and supporting month-end close in a fast-paced environment.

You will match invoices to purchase orders, prepare check runs, resolve discrepancies, and help improve AP workflows while maintaining organized files and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Sage X3.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of basic accounting principles.

Responsibilities

Position Overview for the Accounts Payable Representative:

• The Accounts Payable Representative is responsible for processing and maintaining payment functions, verifying invoice accuracy, and managing vendor accounts.
• This position works on-site five days a week and reports directly to the Controller.
• Key responsibilities include matching invoices to purchase orders, preparing check runs, resolving discrepancies, and supporting month-end close processes.

• Maintains organized AP files and provides support during audits and inquiries.
