Job summary

Sea Mar is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to process supplier invoices and payments accurately and timely. The role maintains vendor records, supports reconciliations and month-end close, and ensures compliance with company policies.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (associate or bachelor’s preferred) and proficiency in Excel; Workday experience is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. This is an on-site role in Seattle with competitive wages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with Workday preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, code, and enter supplier invoices into Workday with approvals and accurate coding.
• Process daily settlement payment runs and other electronic payments.
• Maintain vendor records, W-9 forms, payment terms, and banking information.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies.
• Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on missing invoices and unapplied credits.
• Monitor AP aging and follow up on overdue items.
• Review credit-card transactions for receipts, approvals, and proper accounting coding.
• Reconcile company credit-card statements and ensure timely payments.
• Assist with month-end close, including AP accruals and AP subledger-GL reconciliations.
• Prepare AP and credit-card schedules for management and external auditors.
• Assist with annual 1099 review, reconciliation, and filing.
