California Credit Union is seeking an Accounts Payable specialist to manage full-cycle AP processing, GL coding and approvals, and monthly reconciliations. The role also handles check runs, property tax processing, and 1099 reporting in support of accurate financial closing.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in accounting or AP, strong Excel and MS Office skills, and the ability to maintain precise records while adhering to policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
• 1–2 years in accounting or accounts payable.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Office; familiarity with accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Process Accounts Payable invoices and check requests with coding and approvals.
• Complete daily check runs and monthly close with reconciliations.
• Handle monthly corporate card reconciliation and payments.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and post payments.
• Process quarterly Sales and Use Tax filings.
• Reconcile and pay annual property taxes.
• Prepare 1099-MISC reporting.
• Provide backup support as needed.
