Job summary

Maryland AG in Baltimore is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor for the FAMLI Division. You will supervise the Benefits Payouts team, coordinate daily payment operations, and ensure timely, accurate processing in line with state statutes and internal controls.

You will prepare analyses on payouts and refunds, support the annual close, manage reconciliations, and contribute to audits. This is a full-time role with hybrid teleworking and a strong benefits package, serving a critical public

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with GAAP knowledge.
• Five years examining and interpreting accounting systems and records.
• Three years in cost/systems/federal fund/bond accounting roles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Benefits Payouts team and coordinate daily operations.
• Prepare financial analyses on payouts and refunds.
• Ensure compliance with state statutes and policies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Support internal and external financial audits.
